Highlights
To have a healthy work life balance, I've discovered that I need to leave my laptop alone after work-hours. In my offline time, I now love using my hands to create things, instead of using a mouse. Here are a couple of projects that I have put a lot of effort and love into, after work-hours.
Clay jewelry | part 2Creating clay jewelry remains one of my hobies, hence this little update post. Since 2022, I have tried out many more techniques, colourways and types of medium (making gradients, combining clay with resin, paint, gold leaf, etcetera). My creations are a lot more clean in their finish as well. I'm pretty much picking out my outfits around my own-made jewelry these days, that's how much I love it!
Making my own clothes! In 2019, I decided to take on sewing. I was determined to make my clothes last as long as possible, but also to be able to create self-made pieces, modify thrifted clothes more and cut down on fast fashion. All in all, for the greater good. It's become one of my favourite hobbies, one in which I can continuously challenge myself with different pieces and perfecting details. My highlight: recreating the Eurovision look of Damiano David from Eurovision, winning a Dutch radio contest and having them react to it and sign it as a prize! Incredible!
