Key work
It can never hurt to shop more sustainably, but in order to do so, knowing which fruits and vegetables are in season can help out a whole lot! I made this little calendar for a friend who loves going to the market, to make it even easier to know what foods to get creative with.

Method
I love working on projects that have an overarching theme and try and make every image match to create a cohesive whole. This project allowed me to do just that. I choose vegetables and fruits for each month that were in season at that time. But of course I also choose the ones that I knew I would enjoy to paint. I do not watercolour a lot, but if I do paint, it's one of my favourite mediums as it is very forgiving. You can make and fix mistakes easily!
